Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Cook with expertise in Indian, Chinese, and Tandoor cuisines to join our dynamic Bhojan catering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for events and bulk catering services, ensuring consistency, hygiene, and taste across all dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare authentic and delicious Indian, Chinese, and Tandoori dishes in large quantities for catering events.
- Ensure timely food preparation and maintain food quality standards.
- Manage kitchen operations during prep and service times.
- Handle mi seen place and assist in menu planning with the executive chef or catering manager.
- Follow hygiene and safety regulations (FSSAI standards preferred).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Coordinate with helpers, assistants, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering kitchen supplies.
- Assist in food packing and onsite catering setups when required.
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in cooking Indian, Chinese, and Tandoor dishes in a commercial kitchen or catering setup.
- Ability to prepare both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items.
- Knowledge of portion control, bulk cooking, and time management.
- Hands-on experience with Tandoor operations (roti, naan, kebabs, etc.).
- Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene, safety protocols, and food storage standards.
- Flexible to work during weekends, holidays, and event days.
Preferred Qualifications:
- General education or hotel management.
- Prior experience in catering unit, hotel , banquet services, or cloud kitchens.
